As graduation ceremony plans have yet to be determined for most high school seniors in Southlake, the city has posted the names of soon-to-be graduates in its town square.

Light posts throughout the Southlake Town Square are displaying the 800-plus names of the city's graduating seniors.

“Our high school seniors are amazing,” Southlake Mayor Laura Hill said in a news release. “They have been through so much because of the COVID-19 crisis; we wanted to find a special way to honor them.”

The names can be found listed in alphabetical order beginning on the southern end of the town square and ending north of Southlake Town Hall, according to the city.

The city announced the listings were on display May 8. The names will remain on the light poles until mid-June.

Meanwhile, Carroll ISD has announced three possible scenarios for how its graduation ceremony would take place. Read that story here.
