Co-founders Alex Carroll and Jacob Robinson, three of the five Dude Perfect YouTube channel members, officials from Caterpillar Inc. and city dignitaries gathered in a lot across from Grapevine Mills for the ceremony.
The details
The construction-themed amusement park will cost $29.99 for a two-hour time slot for children and adults to operate heavy machinery, according to previous reporting. There will also be three attractions crafted by Dude Perfect.
Plans were announced for the Grapevine location in July, according to previous reporting.
The first Dig World is located in Katy in March 2022 and is also located at a mall operated by Simon Properties.
What they're saying
“We originally had looked at Frisco to be closer to the Dude Perfect guys,” Carroll said. “Honestly, I would say Simon, the city of Grapevine and the EDC of Grapevine just championed it and said you all need to be here. Honestly, they were just good people and worked hard to help us come here.”
Looking ahead
Carroll said after the ceremony, the opening date, which was tentatively scheduled for March, will likely shift to when school is out.
