In 2022, while shopping for a wedding gown in the Dallas metroplex, Dayana Mikhaylova and her mother Liana Mikhaylova—both Bulgaria natives—found themselves frustrated with the selection at local boutiques. Because of their European roots, they were searching for dresses made by European designers but weren’t willing to spend $10,000 for a wedding gown. Dayana Mikhaylova ended up ordering her custom-made dress from Europe and paid a price she was comfortable with.
In January 2025, the mother-daughter entrepreneurs opened Only You Bridal in Colleyville, not only to fill the void of European-designed wedding gowns featuring prices starting at $1,000, but to fuel what they describe as their “passion for fashion.”
The details
Dayana Mikhaylova and Liana Mikhaylova both make inventory decisions based on three criteria:
The dresses are made in Europe
The designer and designer team offer custom sizing
The designer is willing to do customizations
“We want to be able to continue offering the full experience for everybody and help her find that dream dress or help her create it if it doesn't yet exist,” Dayana Mikhaylova said.
Only You Bridal currently carries eight European designers’ lines, including Ukrainian designer Aria Fashion Group, which Mikhaylova said is a top seller because it offers flexibility in terms of customization. Another in-demand designer is Madam Burcu.
“Madam Burcu, a couture Turkish designer, is an extremely popular brand,” Dayana Mikhaylova said. “They only use glass beading, which elevates the look as far as the way it shimmers in candlelight versus artificial light or sunlight.”
Only You Bridal stocks dresses ranging in sizes from 6 to 30. Styles range from traditional to contemporary and are available in a variety of colors and materials.
“We do not have the traditional cookie-cutter dress that you are able to find almost everywhere,” Dayana Mikhaylova said. “Each one of our dresses has something unique about it, whether that is 3D floral appliqué, unique neckline or materials. Any of those little things completes the dress and makes it unique.”
In addition to bridal gowns, the boutique also sells bridal accessories such as veils, tiaras, jewelry, shoes and more. Wedding attire is also available for pets.
What’s special about it?
The Colleyville boutique offers different ways for brides to try on bridal gowns including in-store and in-home stylist-guided experiences.
“The way we approach every single bride is custom tailored to her needs. That includes timeline, preferences, whatever it is that she needs from us, we try to essentially shape it and format it in a way that makes the most sense for her,” Dayana Mikhaylova said. “We call that the ‘Only You Experience.’”
Dayana Mikhaylova said brides are often drawn to Only You Bridal because of customization opportunities.
“Most commonly, [the bride] will request a neckline change—so maybe from a sweetheart to a scoop, removing a strap, or adding a strap, adding a sleeve or moving a sleeve—those are the most common ones,” Dayana Mikhaylova said. “Some of the more uncommon [customizations] we have done is turning a ballgown into a fit-and-flare. I was biting my nails on that one, but it came in flawless.”

Dayana Mikhaylova said Only You Bridal customers’ ages have ranged from 19 to 74 years old while bride personalities swing from timid to type A. Typically, brides try on four to eight dresses during their first visit and about 50% find their dress during that initial appointment.
“Putting on the veil for the first time during the first appointment, that's the moment it becomes real,” Dayana Mikhaylova said regarding her favorite thing about co-owning this business. “You see it in everybody's eyes. I always tear up. From the mom's perspective, you've been waiting for this moment since she was a baby and then you finally see the grown woman standing in the mirror—in a gown, in a veil—and you know this is happening.”
