Texas Best Smokehouse and Texaco C Store are expected to open in mid-March at the Grapevine North Station development following several delays related to the coronavirus pandemic and a winter storm.

The 11-acre, $31 million project, located at the corner of Northwest Highway and Texan Trail in Grapevine, is continuing to progress, as the first phase of the project is already complete.

According to Chris Leighton, a broker with Westwood Real Estate Development, the Texas Best Smokehouse and adjacent Texaco C Store, and several other restaurants were expected to open in February before the delays. Other possible tenants include Deli Select, Auntie Anne’s Pretzel and Cinnabon.

Plans for the second phase of the development will be presented to Grapevine City Council in May, and a third phase will be proposed in the near future, Leighton said.

“It’s all tenant driven,” he said. “[We’ve already got some] interest in one of the retail buildings. The lease isn’t signed, so I can't say who it is, but it [may] be a quick-service restaurant.”
