1. Floor & Decor
A new Floor & Decor location opened its doors in Grapevine, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce to mark the occasion.
The business sells a selection of flooring, including wood, tile, stone and laminate. Floor & Decor’s Grapevine location also offers free design services for homeowners and professional customers, per previous reporting.
Floor & Decor will host a community block party from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 11 with food, giveaways for the first 200 guests and prize drawings every 15 minutes.
2. Art Algebra
Art Algebra is now open in Colleyville, offering a coffee and matcha menu alongside select handmade art. Co-owners Aatif Merchant and Aashna Bharwani curated pieces from around the world to make art accessible to everyone.
In addition to the art collection, Art Algebra will serve a small monthly rotating coffee menu. The soft opening will be from March 19-31 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., per a post from Art Algebra.

3. Tabla Indian Restaurant
A Florida-based restaurant chain is bringing a mix of Indian, Thai and Indo-Chinese cuisine to Grapevine.
Tabla Indian Restaurant opened in the Grapevine Station commercial development at the corner of Northwest Highway and Texan Trail.
According to the website, featured menu items include garlic naan, tikka masala and Indo-Chinese fried rice. The menu also features garlic green chili naan, tandoori, soups, mocktails and desserts.
4. Firelife Church
Firelife Church is now holding worship services in the old Luv 2 Play indoor playground in Grapevine.
The church has Sunday services starting at 10:30 a.m. alongside children programs, youth programs and adult men's and women's ministries, according to its website.

5. Smoothie King
Smoothie King will be bringing protein-rich smoothies, toasts and Greek yogurt bowls to Colleyville this summer.
The menu includes espresso blends, fruit smoothies and snacks such as avocado toast and chicken bites, according to its website.
6. Bottlecap Alley
Construction on the sixth Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill location is set to begin later this year in Euless. The original Bottlecap Alley opened in Grapevine in 2010 and is locally owned and operated by Aaron Richard and Larry Marshall.
The new restaurant will be nearly 6,700 square feet in a free-standing building with seating for over 250 patrons, Richard said.
Bottlecap Alley in Euless will have an indoor/outdoor bar, 20 TVs throughout the restaurant, a pool table, a big screen, private outdoor cabanas and a courtyard area with games, Richard said.
The restaurant’s menu includes smashburgers, salads, fried catfish and wings, according to its website.
Closures
7. Weir’s Furniture
Dallas-based Weir’s Furniture is set to close all locations in the coming months after 78 years in business, including its location in Southlake, according to a news release.
Closing sales for merchandise in the stores began March 26, with stores remaining open until all items are sold.
A decision to close the stores was made after evaluating the company’s long-term financial position, market conditions and operational challenges, per the news release.
8. Francesca’s
The Francesca’s store in Southlake Town Square will close by the end of March.
The Houston-based retailer began liquidating all merchandise in January after receiving a notice of default from its lender, requiring the company to shut down, according to previous reporting.
Francesca’s sells a selection of clothing, footwear and accessories.
9. Eddie Bauer
Outdoor sports clothing store Eddie Bauer will close its location in Southlake Town Square.
Store management said the store will be open until the end of April, but could close sooner, depending on the liquidation of the store. The store sells outerwear, apparel and accessories, according to the website.
The company will soon close after its operating company, Eddie Bauer LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to Eddie Bauer LLC's representation.
