One Southlake hotel is getting another new name in 2025.

During the Dec. 3 Southlake City Council meeting, a zoning change in a site plan for The Elmore by Marriott was approved.

The hotel has been name The Southlake Hotel since Feb. 1 and was Cambria Hotel Southlake prior to that, according to previous reporting.

The details

Dennis Killough, Southlake's director of planning and development services, said the hotel will modify the exterior building color and will add a screening structure at entry as part of a renovation. The existing dining area will be transformed to Abby Social Restaurant, according to a presentation to council members.

A $950,000 renovation on the main lobby, outdoor space and rooms started in August and has an estimated completion date of Aug. 25, 2025, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

“The primary goal of this change is to modernize the appearance of our hotel, ensuring that the exterior design aligns with the sophisticated and stylish interiors that our guests have come to enjoy,” Danny Patel, NewcrestImage managing partner, wrote in a letter to council.

When completed, the hotel will be a Tribute Portfolio Collection hotel with Marriott, according to Patel. The property is managed by Coury Hospitality, which manages Hotel Vin in Grapevine.

The hotel, built in 2016, is six miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and has 175 rooms, an outdoor pool and game area, a fitness center, a business center, a convenience store, a casual lounge and a fine-dining restaurant, according to the website.
