The closures will take place between Sept. 1-6, according to a social media post by the North Texas Tollway Authority, or NTTA, which manages the tollway.
The details
The northbound right lane on Dallas North Tollway will be closed daily from Gaylord Parkway to PGA Parkway from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sept. 1-6. The southbound right lane from PGA Parkway to Fields Parkway will close daily beginning Sept. 2-5 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
On Dallas Parkway, the north to southbound U-turn lane at Panther Creek Parkway will close daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sept. 1-5. The north and southbound left lanes of Dallas Parkway from Warren Parkway to SH 121 will close daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. between Sept. 1-5.
The context
The closures are part of a $157.3 million project to expand the Dallas North Tollway with a fourth lane in each direction to accommodate projected population growth in Collin and Denton counties. It is expected to be completed in 2025.
