Various lanes and ramps will close in Frisco as part of the Dallas North Tollway widening project through the city.

The closures will take place between Aug. 25-30, according to a news release from city of Frisco officials.

The details

Closures planned for Aug. 25-28 include:
  • Southbound right lane from Cotton Gin Road to Stonebrook Parkway
  • Southbound Dallas North Tollway entrance ramp at John Hickman Parkway
  • Southbound right lane from John Hickman Parkway to Warren Parkway
The northbound right lane at Gaylord Parkway and the southbound right lane at PGA Parkway will also be closed from 9 a.m.-3 a.m., Aug. 25-30.

The north to southbound U-turn lane at Panther Creek Parkway, as well as the north and southbound lanes of Dallas Parkway from Warren Parkway to SH 121, will close from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Aug. 25-30.


The background

The closures are part of a project to widen the tollway with an extra lane in each direction. The project, set to cost $157.3 million, is meant to address population growth in Collin and Denton counties.

The Dallas North Tollway project is expected to be completed in 2025.
