Chido Taco Lounge is opening its doors in west Frisco in the Shops at Starwood on March 12.

Owner Blaine McGowan said Chido Taco Lounge is his first brick-and-mortar restaurant that comes after years of developing his love of cooking at Frisco Supper Club dinner parties.

Chido, which means "cool" in Spanish, aims to provide North Texas diners with a menu rooted in “killer tacos" and "distinguished dishes" that incorporate flavors from Thai, Caribbean and Japanese cuisines, according to a press release.

For the first few weeks of business, the lounge will be open for dinner service only. In the coming weeks and months after the March 12 start date, diners and taco enthusiasts can look forward to casual lunches and boozy brunches. Menu highlights include tacos callejeros, queso gringo, jicama slaw with a blood orange vinaigrette and more. 469-200-5715. www.chidodfw.com
