Frisco neighborhood Tapestry by Total Environment is still under construction, but the model home is open to experience by appointment only. The neighborhood is located at 14743 Little Bluestem Lane, and every home will feature a grass rooftop.

The neighborhood aims to blur “the line between interior and exterior space,” said Stephanie York, operations manager for Tapestry. Homes offer walk-out garden spaces on the second floor and will have GeoThermal heating and cooling to help with energy efficiency and avoid traditional HVAC units in the backyard, York said.

When complete, Tapestry will have a total 121 home sites, with customizable home sites at a 12-15 month process. Home prices range from $1.1 million to $1.8 million.

Amenities at Tapestry include mature trees, three bodies of water and three branches of the West Rowlett Creek. The community will have a number of green spaces centered around a 6-acre park, walking trails and a grass-roof amenity center with a pool, a small gym and a full-time lifestyle manager.
