Frisco’s Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of a request to rezone about 4 acres of land to allow for the building of a hotel at a meeting Oct. 14.
The details
The property, near the intersection of Frisco Street and Eldorado Parkway, was originally zoned for industrial and retail uses. Frisco Center Properties Inc. requested that the land be rezoned so it could build a hotel.
There are currently no height restrictions on the potential hotel because it does not sit near residential areas. Specific plans for the hotel have not been presented to the planning and zoning commissioners or City Council.
Council will consider the rezoning request and a development agreement for the site at a future meeting. These items have not yet been added to a council agenda.
