American Airlines, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport announce construction additions to new Terminal F

Terminal F will have 31 gates and cost $4 billion to construct. In 2023, the airport and American Airlines announced a 10-year use/lease agreement that included $1.6 billion for the construction of Terminal F, with the original plan featuring 15 gates. In addition to doubling the size of Terminal F, 10 more years were added to the use/lease agreement, which would extend to 2043.

Lewisville ISD to spend $57M on school, facility renovations


LISD's 2023 bond package will fund the renovations for Marcus High School and elementary school fire alarm upgrades, with $53 million going to the 20-year lifecycle maintenance repair project at Marcus High School. Repairs will start this summer and complete in summer 2027, with construction continuing through the school years.

Plano ISD to host job fair, seeking teachers, bus drivers, more

Plano ISD is set to host a job fair for various teacher and support positions May 28. The district is looking to fill several positions, including elementary teachers, bilingual certified teachers, teacher assistants, substitutes and food service positions, among others.

$4.72M Grapevine Fairway Events Center nearing completion


The new event space at Grapevine Golf Course, called the Grapevine Fairway Events Center, is nearing completion. The meeting venue will feature indoor space at Fairway Hall and outdoor meeting space on the Byron Pavilion that can host weddings, receptions, tournaments and meetings.

McKinney council approves funding, contracts for airport terminal expansion

Construction costs approved by council members in May total about $61.36 million. Construction will add a 46,600-square-foot passenger service terminal on the east side of the airport. The facility is expected to include three gates with the ability to expand to five gates. A parking lot with 980 parking spaces will be constructed next to the terminal.

Celina ISD to begin planning process after $2.3B bond passes


After Celina ISD voters authorized $2.3 billion in bond bunds for various projects, district leaders look to start the planning process for opening new campuses. As the district continues to grow, Celina ISD's superintendent said the community will play a role in shaping future facilities.
