With all precincts in Collin and Denton counties reporting, Suresh Manduva, Renee Sample and Stephanie Elad have won their respective races for the Frisco ISD board of trustees.

Place 1 candidate Manduva received 40.12% of votes with 7,349 votes. Candidate Muniraj Janagaran followed with 34.75% of votes with 6,365 votes, while Amit Kalra had 25.13% of ballots with 4,604 votes.

Place 2 candidate Renee Sample won with 48.18% of ballots with 9,223 votes. Melanie Barrios-Jones followed with 43.58% of votes with 8,343 votes and Ange Yao received 8.24% of votes with 1,577 votes.

Incumbent Stephanie Elad secured her seat again with 52.91% of votes with 10,072 votes. Stuart Shulman followed with 47.09% of ballots with 8,965 votes.


"In the three years [I've served on the board] I've learned a lot and have been able to make a difference in Frisco ISD," Elad said. "Now, we've got to figure out how to deal with the fact we are declining enrollment district, which we were not when I ran three years ago. A lot can change in three years."

Results are unofficial until canvassed.

Place 1 candidate Suresh Manduva has the lead with 39.28% of votes, or 6,843 votes. Muniraj Janagaran follows with 35.47% of votes, or 6,179 votes, while Amit Kalra has 25.25% of votes with 4,398 votes.


Renee Sample leads the race for Place 2 with 47.95% of votes with 8,745 votes. Melanie Barrios-Jones follows with 44.01% of votes or 8,027 votes. Yao has received 8.04% of votes with 1,467 votes.

Place 3 incumbent Stephanie Elad leads with 54.23% of votes, or 10,027 votes, while Stuart Shulman follows with 45.77% of votes or 8,463.

Denton County has all precincts reporting. Collin County has 49 of 59 vote center reporting.

Collin and Denton counties have released unofficial early voting totals for the Frisco ISD school board election. The school board has two seats up for election—Place 1, 2 and 3.

Place 1 candidates are Muniraj Janagaran, Amit Kalra and Suresh Manduva. Manduva holds the lead with 38.62% of votes with 4,738 votes. Janagaran follows with 36.48% of votes, or 4,475 votes, while Kalra has 24.9% of votes with 3,055.

Place 2 candidates are Renee Sample, Ange Yao and Melanie Barrios-Jones. Sample leads with 49.2% of votes or 3,915 votes. Jones follows with 42.63% of votes, or 3,392, while Yao has 8.17% of votes with 650.

Place 3 candidates are incumbent Stephanie Elad and Stuart Shulman. Elad has 52.35% of votes, or 4,221 votes, while Shulman has 47.65% of the votes with 3,842.
