The Star on Dec. 14 announced that more than 40,000 square feet of space has been leased between July and November. The new concepts are all signed to North Texas-based owners, and are expected to open throughout 2022, according to a news release. In addition, an existing restaurant is relocating to a new space.
Lombardi Cucina Italiana
Lombardi Cucina Italiana, from Lombardi Family Concepts founder and president Alberto Lombardi, is a new concept “in celebration of his 45th anniversary as a restaurateur.”
The menu will feature authentic Italian cuisine with “a modern touch,” according to the release. “Fatto a mano” pastas will be produced daily in an open “pasta laboratorio” alongside fresh fish, meats and produce on the menu. A selection of wines and cocktails will also be available for guests, the release said.
Lombardi Cucina Italiana is expected to open in early 2022 at 6655 Winning Drive, Ste. 605.
The Glen and Monarch Stag
Two of the new venues will coincide with one another and be located next to each other.
The menu at The Glen will feature craft cocktails, a selection of wine and scotch and seafood specialties. In addition, aerial performing artists and other entertainers will make an appearance, according to the release.
Next door at Monarch Stag will be live music, a cigar lounge, and “the finest and rarest scotch whisky and bourbon selections from around the world.”
Derek and Sheree Simms at Simms Hospitality Group are behind the two complimentary venues. Simms Hospitality Group also owns and operates J. Theodore and Rare Books Bar in Frisco.
The Glen and Monarch Stag are expected to open in early 2022 at 6655 Winning Drive, Ste. 600.
Snowbird Cocktail Lounge & Kitchen
Snowbird Cocktail Lounge & Kitchen is a new concept from a partnership between bar and hospitality experts David Nguyen and Sobe Ahmed.
The new venue aims to be a “chic and elevated upscale lounge,” the release said. It will specialize in several different cocktails and small bites in a music-filled lounge.
Snowbird Cocktail Lounge & Kitchen is expected to open in spring at 6765 Winning Drive, Ste. 800.
Sidecar Social
Sidecar Social is a “social lounge experience” that will offer craft cocktails and bites. Free classic “grownup games,” karaoke, live music, large TVs, and an all-season patio are among amenities planned for the more than 15,000-square-foot entertainment venue. It will be open daily and nightly serving lunch and dinner, the release said.
On Deck Concepts, founded by BoomerJack’s sports bar creator Brent Tipps, is behind Sidecar Social, according to the release. It first debuted in August 2019 in Addison on Belt Line Road.
Sidecar Social is expected to open in fall at 6770 Winning Drive.
Roti Grill
In addition to the five new tenants, Indian food restaurant Roti Grill will relocate from its original location in The Star District on Winning Drive to Gaylord Parkway, according to the release. Diners can expect an updated menu, an enhanced interior with a new bar and a storefront patio for outdoor dining.
Roti Grill is expected to open at its new location in early 2022 at 3675 Gaylord Parkway, Ste. 1105.
