A Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream franchise is set to open at 5 p.m. on Nov. 13, franchisee Spenser Moore said. The franchise, which is owned by Spenser Moore, his brother Jack Moore and father Craig Moore, will be giving away free ice cream scoops and cones from 5-7 p.m. during the shop’s Nov. 13 grand opening, Spenser Moore said.

The Ohio-based ice cream store’s menu features 48 flavors of ice cream rotating every month. Vegan and sorbet options, sherberts and ices are also available. Other items include pints and quarts, sundaes, shakes and pops. Hurricanes, which are made with one part vanilla ice cream and one part add-in ingredient such as chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate covered strawberries and more, will also be available.

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, which is headquartered in Canfield, OH, was founded by Alice Handel in 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio.
