In observance of the Christmas holiday, officials in Argyle and Highland Village will close several of the town’s facilities.

The details

City offices in both towns will be closed on Dec. 24-25. Trash and recycling services will not run on Christmas Day.

Instead, routes will be delayed by one day, according to Republic Services, the company that picks up trash and recycling for both towns.

In Highland Village, Wednesday’s customers will get their trash picked up Thursday and so on until Saturday when service will be complete, said Laurie Mullens, the town's director of marketing and communications in an email. However, Argyle residents have their trash and recycling picked up on Mondays so their service will not be impacted.

Offices in both towns will reopen on Dec. 26.
