Flower Mound residents who enjoy photography may enter the town’s first National Park and Recreation Month Photo Contest, in honor of National Park and Recreation Month, held in July.

Photos from local playgrounds, the Community Activity Center's indoor and outdoor pools, or one of the town’s parks may be submitted, as can pictures taken from the town’s many recreation programs and events, according to the town’s Facebook page.

Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. July 21. People may submit photos to [email protected].

Diving in deeper

All submitted photos will be posted on the Flower Mound Arts Facebook page, where people can vote on their favorite photos by liking them. Voting runs July 24-28. The winners will be announced July 31, with winners receiving Visa gift cards. People will also find the winning photographs on display at Town Hall and the Community Activity Center.
