The project will not exceed $49.32 million, with funding coming from 2022 and 2025 bond funds, district documents state.

The elementary school will be 104,685 square feet with two stories, 61 classrooms and the capacity for 850 students, according to previous reporting.
It is expected to open for the 2027-28 school year and will be located on the same property as the AISD middle school currently under construction.
This guaranteed maximum price includes an allowance of around $2.5 million for FM 407 improvements, specifically a turn lane and stoplight for campus access, AISD Construction Manager Jeff Koehn said.
“We believe it’s absolutely necessary that we create the turn lane and have the stoplight,” Koehn said.
Also of note
Trustees also discussed a $1.5 million allowance for an access road as well as a $2.5 million allowance for a landscape water well.
However, these two allowances were not included in the guaranteed maximum price at this time.
“This site is going to need some money spent on it to divert traffic to handle drop off and pick up,” trustee Josh Westrom said.
If the board decides to add these two allowances, trustees would have to approve a change order, Koehn said.
