“As per the construction schedule, the school opening will be late summer, most likely in the month of August,” school supervisor Jyothi Kannan said in an email.
The Montessori method provides self-motivated education in which children are encouraged to move freely through individualized instruction and physical exercises, accompanied by special emphasis on the training of the senses and the early development of reading and writing skills.
Flower Mound Montessori will have nine classrooms to serve children up to 5 years old. After-school services will also be offered.
“Our management team has over 20 years of industry experience," Kannan said. "This will be our third branch within the Metroplex area, and we strongly believe that the curriculum we prepared will help each child to find success in their educational life.”
