A local chocolate business, The Touring Chocolatier, is now open in Flower Mound’s Lakeside development.

The business sells a variety of chocolates and also offers truffle-making classes, said owner Kay Thibodeaux, a graduate of chocolate making institute Ecole Chocolat and member of the Fine Chocolate Industry Association. Unique to the Flower Mound location is a baked goods menu that includes sourdough breads, danishes and scones, Thibodeaux added.

The Touring Chocolatier is currently open Tuesday through Saturday, while hosting classes by appointment on Sundays, she said. An expanded classroom space is expected to be completed by the end of January.

The business also has another location in Northlake, which opened in 2021.
