Harold Dean Smoked Goods is expected to open the first week of February, according to restaurant officials.

The restaurant will be located at 5801 Long Prairie Road, Ste. 870, Flower Mound. The restaurant dishes out Texas-style barbecue, including ribs, sausage, pork and brisket during its lunch hours.

In the evenings, it will be a full-service high-end restaurant, owner Aaron Kramer said. It will serve locally sourced meat, including steaks, lamb, chicken and pork.

“I just want to be able to provide a good wholesome meal,” he said.

Kramer is opening the restaurant with his wife, Alejandra Kramer.

The business has been operating out of a food trailer at local markets, community events, neighborhood block parties, weddings, corporate events, and church and school gatherings as well as for family dinners around the greater North Texas area.

Once the brick-and-mortar location is opened, Kramer plans to continue offering full catering services out of the food trailer, he said.

Kramer plans on providing high-quality food with high-quality ingredients that are sourced locally, he said.

“We're trying to support local,” he said. “I want to bring a little of that back.”
