1. Bonchon
Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon will open a new Flower Mound location on Cross Timbers Road in March, a company representative said. The location was previously scheduled to open in July 2025.
Bonchon offers fried chicken wings, tenders, Korean tacos and bao buns. The restaurant has locations in The Colony, Addison and Fort Worth, according to the company website.
Amy’s Aquatics, which was previously a home-based business, will be moving into a permanent brick-and-mortar location, owner Amy Clayton said.
The business provides swimming lessons for children starting at 18 months old, and also offers private and semi-private lessons, according to its website. The swim school will run year-round.
Clayton said she has more than 20 years of experience teaching swimming lessons, and that her instruction is very hands-on and personal.
Amy’s Aquatics will be located in the former AquaKids Swim School building.

3. Yogurtland
A new Yogurtland location could open later this year in Flower Mound.
The California-based company’s menu includes a selection of self-serve frozen yogurt flavors, such as cheesecake, pistachio and fresh strawberry. Customers can also customize their frozen yogurt with toppings, including cookie dough bites, chocolate chips and sprinkles.
Yogurtland’s new location is slated to be in The Highlands at Flower Mound shopping center. The company’s previous Flower Mound location closed in March 2019.
Medical City Healthcare announced the purchase of 13 CommunityMed urgent care centers that will be part of CareNow Urgent Care, including a location in Bartonville, in a Feb. 2 news release.
Urgent care clinics offer health care services to treat non-emergent medical problems that can develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, per the release.
As a result of this acquisition, CareNow will have more than 95 sites across Texas, per the release. In addition to Bartonville, the CareNow Urgent Care facilities will be located in Arlington, Crossroads, Haslet, Heath, Mansfield, Melissa, Midlothian, Princeton, Prosper and Wichita Falls.
All staff members, nurses and physicians in good standing have been transitioned to Medical City Healthcare, according to the release.
