The business offers makeup services, blowouts, extensions and custom looks, Sams said. Customers can also plan private birthday or wedding parties in the space.
Sams, a longtime Argyle resident, said she had been a customer of blowout bars for four years before taking the plunge to franchise a location in town.
“I love the concept,” she said. “I was a weekly blowout girl. I would come in and I never had to think about my hair.”
Sams said Blo Blow Dry Bar is currently selling founders memberships, and will continue to offer its Mane Squeeze membership options, which include two blowouts per month, $5 off an additional booking, 10% off retail purchases, a free birthday blowout and a monthly perk.
Additionally, the business is offering free standard blowouts July 11-13, Sams added.
Blo Blow Dry Bar will also donate 10% from service upgrades and retail purchases to relief funds for Kerrville flood victims, she said. The business will also accept monetary contributions and donation items, such as water, hygiene products and non-perishable food, to assist in relief efforts.
“Although we're celebrating a milestone of opening this weekend, we're going to also take this opportunity, since we have so many bookings, to raise some funds and support our neighbors down in Kerrville,” Sams said.
A grand opening, including live music, a bartender and food from a local vendor will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 24.
“This is a very big moment for me personally,” Sams said. “This is something we want to really celebrate, and we want our community to celebrate with us.”
