Three Denton recreation centers will close for repairs and renovations over the summer, according to an announcement from the city.

City officials said the Martin Luther King Jr., Denia and North Lakes recreation centers will close to undergo a combined $310,000 in repairs and maintenance.
The closures will be staggered, so no more than on recreation center will be closed at a time, the announcement states.
The closure schedule is as follows:
The North Lakes Center will receive new bathroom floors and lockers, along with power washing and deep cleaning throughout the facility. The cost for the work at North Lakes totals $70,000.
Denia will also receive new bathroom floors and interior painting, along with a deep cleaning. The work on Denia totals $75,000.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center will receive new hallway floors, brick repairs and interior painting. The repair and maintenance costs will total $165,000, city officials said.
One more thing
Members can continue to use their passes at any open city recreation center during the closures, the announcement states.
