Update: Jan. 27, 4:33 p.m.
Denton officials posted on the city's website on Jan. 27 that trash and recycling services have been further delayed due to unsafe road conditions.
Recycling services have been suspended for the week, and city officials are asking that residents do not place their blue carts on the curb.
Trash services are expected to resume Wednesday, Jan. 28, where possible, starting with the Monday schedules. City officials ask for residents to be patient and to leave their bins out to give the trash trucks ample time to safely collect waste.
Tuesday's regular trash schedule will move to Thursday, and Wednesday or Thursday collection days will occur on Friday, Jan. 30.
Those who missed their rescheduled collection can have their waste collected during the regular schedule next week.
Also of note
Capacity remains for overnight and daytime stays at the Denton Community Shelter.
