Ruby Rodeo offers light bites, cocktails in downtown Denton

Live music venue and cocktail bar Ruby Rodeo held a soft opening on April 3, co-owner Mike Church said. The venue was open through April 4 and will remain open April 7-9 for a continued soft opening.

The grand opening will be April 10, according to the company website.

The venue offers light bites and bar food, like chicken wings, flat breads and bruschetta. The grand opening on April 10 will have live music, and co-owner Victor Garcia said the venue plans to host live music twice a week.

The drink menu includes cocktails like the Pink Pony, a blend of raspberry syrup, champagne, lemon juice, ginger and vodka or tequila, along with the Rancher's Nightcap, which is a chocolate old-fashioned.

Church said Red Italian Grill, an Italian restaurant one level below Ruby Rodeo in the same building, will open this summer. The restaurant will offer a rotating seasonal menu, said Denise Fullmer, the restaurant’s executive chef.
