Florida-based chicken chain Popeyes opened a new location in Denton in early October, a company representative said.
The chain offers Cajun-style bone-in chicken, chicken tenders and sandwiches. Popeyes currently has more than 4,000 locations around the world, according to their website.

Family-owned automotive repair and tire shop Tire Store Service Center opened a new Denton location in late October, owner Sammy Ghanim said.
The Denton shop is the business’s 11th Dallas-Fort Worth location, Ghanim added. The service center sells and installs tires, and performs automotive maintenance, including brake repairs, alignments and mechanical repairs, according to the company’s website.

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital
Construction is underway at a new Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton, according to a news release.
A joint venture with Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Texas Health Resources, the new freestanding facility will have 40 private patient rooms, per the news release.
The hospital will provide inpatient rehabilitation services for adults who have experienced a loss of function or disability due to stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic surgery, amputation and other conditions.
“This milestone not only represents our continued commitment to providing healthcare services for this community by adding beds, but also continues to bring specialized, integrated care that truly enhances the quality of life and independence for people who need it most,” Lifepoint Rehabilitation President Russ Bailey said in the news release.
