A remodeling of the Denton Sam’s Club in the Rayzor Ranch Marketplace was completed last month after construction of the improvements started in June.

The remodeled store includes:
  • More fresh food areas, including larger spaces for dairy, meat, rotisserie and seafood, and an expanded wine selection
  • More seating and improved layout for the cafe
  • A new floral section
  • Additional curbside pickup spaces
  • A refreshed front-end designed for a more digital shopping experience
  • Optical and hearing aid centers located within the pharmacy area
  • A new sushi island
  • A new community mural
“These updates and community investments reflect Sam’s Club’s ongoing commitment to making shopping faster, easier, and more enjoyable, while strengthening the communities where we operate,” said Allison Van Matre, senior director of global communications at Sam’s Club, in an email.

As part of the remodel, Sam’s Club also provided four grants to local organizations, Van Matre said, including:
  • $2,500 to Hallie’s Heroes
  • $1,000 to First Refuge Ministries
  • $1,000 to Denton Freedom House
  • $500 to the Calhoun Middle School band
The store’s remodeling is part of a Sam’s Club initiative to renovate all of its stores nationwide over the next several years.
