Lance Thrailkill, certified public accountant for All Metals Fabricating in Allen, said the average employee at the family-owned manufacturing shop has worked there for more than 15 years.
Meanwhile, the average customer has been with All Metals Fabricating for 25 years, he said. Thrailkill said these long relationships are a result of the business’s core belief.
“We treat our customers like partners and our employees like family,” Thrailkill said. “This has been the biggest reason for our continued success over the decades; we treat everyone with integrity.”
All Metals Fabricating opened in 1953, and Thrailkill’s grandfather purchased it in 1978. Thrailkill’s father also joined the company that year, and, within 12 months, the business had quadrupled its sales.
The Thrailkills eventually moved the metal fabricating workshop in 2000 from Richardson to Allen to account for the growth.
“The Allen community has been great to us,” Thrailkill said. “I can’t think of a better place to have a home base for a company.”

As a contract manufacturer, its products range from banking and medical equipment to oil, gas and alternative energy. The business’s state-of-the-art capabilities include laser cutting, engineering, product design and robotic welding.
Thrailkill said the company is able to consistently exceed expectations thanks to its employees.
All Metals Fabricating is able to hire and retain top talent by offering one of the best benefits packages in the industry, he said.
The business also supports its customers and clients by reinvesting much of its profits back into its equipment, Thrailkill said.
