Allen ISD Superintendent Robin Bullock is retiring at the end of the 2025-26 school year, according to a district news release.

What’s happening?

Bullock is expected to inform the Allen ISD board of trustees about her intent to retire at a Jan. 20 meeting. The board will then begin to develop a timeline for identifying potential superintendent candidates, according to the release.

In a statement, Bullock said she appreciates the trust placed in her by current and former board members during the last six years.

“Our School Board Trustees remain focused on what is best for Allen ISD students and staff, and I am confident the next superintendent they choose will continue to build upon the success that Allen ISD is recognized for across Texas,” she said. “I look forward to finishing out this school year and supporting a smooth leadership transition.”

Career history

Bullock was hired as an assistant superintendent for Allen ISD in 2013 and was later named superintendent in January 2020. During her tenure, the district has received multiple recognitions and an “A” accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency.

She also oversaw two successful bond elections in 2020 and 2024 when voters approved more than $656 million to “help create modern, safe learning environments for students and staff,” according to the release.

Bullock said she was “blessed” to have served the school district for the past 13 years.

“As I reflect on my time in Allen ISD, I’ll always cherish the moments celebrating our wonderful students, the relationships built with teachers and staff, the collaboration with our community, and the work of our committed school board and cabinet leadership team,” she said. “Allen ISD is a wonderful school district because of our collective commitment to excellence shared by every Allen Eagle.”

Before joining Allen ISD, Bullock worked as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal for multiple school districts. She’s worked at Red Oak ISD, Duncanville ISD, Midlothian ISD and more, according to the release.

Bullock focused on student academic success, community engagement and partnerships between schools and business leaders during her time as superintendent. Since 2020, Allen ISD launched an internal dashboard providing faculty with tools to monitor student progress. The district also expanded connections with the community through initiatives such as the Silver Eagles Club and Credit Union of Texas to build the first student-run bank branch inside Allen High School.
