Per a July 6 news release, Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's office is giving away free watermelons on July 14 at 10 a.m. from Atkinson Farms Produce, located at 3217 Spring Cypress Road.
“This is just one way to help our community stay hydrated, beat the summer heat, and give back to the citizens we proudly serve,” the release states.

Per the release, one watermelon per family will be distributed while supplies last.
