Back to School Drive Thru 2026
Families in East Montgomery County can get ready for the upcoming school year at the East Montgomery County Improvement District Back to School Drive-Thru. The EMCID will distribute 2,500 free school supply packs for students in prekindergarten through eighth grade.

Cy-Fair Helping Hands Back to School Bash During the Cy-Fair Helping Hands Back to School Bash, students will receive free school supplies, family resources and books. The event will also feature family activities, first responders and equipment.
Back to School BashConroe Independent School District is holding a Back to School Bash featuring free backpacks with school supplies, free haircuts, snacks and community resources.
Operation Backpack GiveawayAttorney Brian White is holding a backpack giveaway to help Houston students start the school year. Each registered child will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies while supplies last. Families will also enjoy free access to featured attractions and complimentary ice cream during the event.

School Rocks Backpack GiveawayVerizon-authorized retailer Round Room LLC is hosting its 14th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway event where hundreds of families are expected to line up to receive a free backpack.

Mayor's Back 2 School & Health FairPresented by Shell, Mayor's Back 2 School & Health Fair is designed to help economically disadvantaged Houston area elementary school students and their families as they prepare to return to school. In addition to distributing 20,000 backpacks with school supplies, the event will feature on-site health screenings to include: dental screenings and sealants, vision screenings, mental health screenings and routine immunizations.
