Approaching the end of the 2025-26 school year, the Cy-Fair ISD school board is holding a regular meeting May 11 prior to their special-called budget workshop meeting later in the month.
What you need to know
The 2025-26 CFISD demographic study completed by Population and Survey Analysts will be presented at the upcoming meeting, along with three other reports.
PASA’s reports use data, such as student enrollment, and analysis to aid districts in their desired planning processes.
Other reports to be presented include:
Revisions on student safety measures and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are present on
multiple agenda items that are up for vote.
Items worth mentioning
The board will decide whether to revise four items pertaining to district and campus employees, ranging from conflict of interest, DEI duties, and family and medical paid leave usage.
Possible revisions or additions on safety and student welfare items deal with:
- Regulated immediate notifications to staff of threats made against campus
- Informing parents of abuse committed against their child by district employees or service providers
- Develop procedures to notify parents of any violent activity that occurred or is being investigated on campus, other district facilities or district-sponsored activity
The Districtwide Intruder Detection Audit Report findings and corrective actions will also be discussed. This is a government required annual on-site audit intended to promote the physical and psychological well-being of students and staff, according to the
Texas Education Agency website.
Before you go
The board work session will be held May 7 followed by the regular meeting May 11. The start time for both meetings is 6 p.m. in the Mark Henry Administrative Building board room.
