Officials with the Cypress Creek Fire Department announced July 2 a new partnership with the Neighbors mobile app by Ring.
The free mobile app helps community members stay informed of local incidents and share neighborhood safety updates, regardless of whether they use Ring devices, according to a press release. CCFD is among the first fire departments in the nation to join the app program, with a goal of creating safer neighborhoods.
CCFD officials said they are better equipped to notify residents of nearby emergencies, road closures and other safety alerts on a street-by-street level through the app.
“We are looking forward to partnering with Ring and the Neighbors app to continue our effort to use technology to better communicate and educate the residents we serve,” Fire Chief Richard Lieder said in a press release.
