A new Kroger Marketplace is anticipated to open in late 2015 in the master-planned community of Fairfield in Cypress.
"It's an excellent location now that the Grand Parkway has opened up," said Shannon Parker, marketing director for developer NewQuest Properties.
In addition to the 123,000-square-foot Kroger store, there will be four pad sites and an additional 30,000 square feet of retail space on the site near Cypresswood and Fairfield Meadow Drive.
"Those four pad sites could be restaurants, a bank or any type of retail," Parker said.
