With a dedication to customer service, owner Cheryl Johnson said Daisy Kids Care has built a client base of nearly 1,000 children.
The Willowbrook-area business, along with Daisy Kids Therapy Clinic, serves children with an array of conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and speech delay. Programs in occupational, physical and speech therapy, and private duty nursing are available.
“It’s not just about the money part of it—it’s about getting the people who care about these children because it’s so important in our industry to do everything the right way and be ethical,” Johnson said. “We call it 24/7 crisis management. There’s always something going on because of the kids we take care of.”
Johnson helped open Daisy Kids Care in 2011 and bought the practice in 2015. Her daughter Julie Needham—who has been in the home health industry since she was a young teenager helping her mom in the summer—opened the therapy clinic at the start of 2018.
