Locals sell everything from food to clothes
Featuring creative jewelry, arts and crafts, clothing and fresh produce, Cypress Market Saturday gives small business owners a place to show their wares.
The market operates from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. the first Saturday of every month at Cypress Village Station, located at Hwy. 290 and Skinner Road. Typically, the people selling have their own website where they take orders. Cypress Market Saturday provides an additional revenue stream, said Debbie Cross, event coordinator.
"You can find unique things at the market," Cross said. "It's not like going to the mall or going to an outlet store. For the most part, you won't find these items anywhere else."
There are usually between 15 and 30 vendors at the market. While it is artsy, there are also fashionable and practical things for sale.
