Artisan School of Dance
Summer programs are available for dancers of all levels and ages, including Dance Like a Princess or Prince, children’s workshop, and dancer intensives. Several camps require placement by audition or recommendation. Space is limited.

Color Me Mine

Camps each week follow a specific theme, such as “Shark Week” and “Everything but the Brush.” Activities range from painting to crafts and canvas art.

Cy-Fair Music and Arts

Camps hosted by Cy-Fair Music and Arts cover a wide variety of topics spanning art, drama and instrument camps for piano, drums and guitar. Art camps include modern art and art around the world, and drama camps include renaissance festival and far out fables.

Playhouse 1960

Playhouse 1960 offers several summer camps in which each camper performs a role in productions, such as “Shrek the Musical,” “Annie” and “Little Women.” Campers are guaranteed casting in a speaking role. Each camp will have two public performances at the end of the session. Registration is held through June 4 for “Shrek” and “Annie,” and registration is through June 19 for “Little Women.”

Sew Houston

Children and teenagers can learn the basics of hand and machine sewing during weekly camps. Students make an array of projects of their choosing, which can include stuffed animals, home decor and clothing.
Age 7 and older. Four-day camps take place every other week from June-August. $200 per week (fabric not included).

Stageworks Theatre

Students in the Stageworks Theatre Acting Academy can participate in performance camps and one-week themed camps that teach elements of the dramatic arts, such as choreography, stunts and singing.

Adventure Zone Summer Camp


The annual camp offers 12 weeks of programming, including different weekly themes, such as Animal Kingdom, Superhero Headquarters, Splash Cove and Slime Zone. Campers participate in sports and games, field trips, crafts and pool time.

Campers head out to a 530-acre campground along the shores of Lake Livingston for weeklong camps hosted by the YMCA of Greater Houston throughout the summer.
