Potbelly Sandwich Shop will open a new location Oct. 9 at 14140 Fry Road, Cypress, near Hwy. 290. The chain offers made-to-order sandwiches, salads and freshly baked cookies. The Cypress shop will offer delivery services and will feature a drive-thru. The first 100 customers at the new location will receive a voucher for a free sandwich. A soft opening will take place Oct. 8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m. During the soft opening, customers can purchase a sandwich, chips and fountain drink for $5, which will be donated to the MET Church's Cypress campus.
