The Greater Houston area saw more than 200 new coronavirus cases confirmed April 22, led by cases in Fort Bend and Harris counties.
Confirmed cases in Fort Bend County increased by 62, from 808 total cases on April 21 to 870 cases on April 22. Confirmed cases in Harris County, including the city of Houston, increased by 68, from 5,143 on April 21 to 5,211 on April 22.
Brazoria County also added 37 new confirmed cases, bringing the total in the county to 382.
Active cases, the total number of cases after recoveries and deaths are removed, increased by 105 in the Houston area's five most populous counties on April 22 and are now up to 5,280.
