A total of 33,025 tests were conducted between May 10-16, while 21,170 were conducted between May 3-9 and 13,219 were conducted between April 26-May 2, according to state data.
Harris County also saw increases in confirmed cases this past week as testing increased. Over the period of May 10-16, the county confirmed 1,318 new cases, as compared to 1,095 cases between May 3-9 and 1,080 cases between April 26-May 2.
Total cases rose by 415 over the May 16-17 weekend, with 316 of those cases coming from the city of Houston. Another 170 cases were added May 18, including 139 in the city of Houston.
