MD Anderson launches $2.5B fundraising campaign against cancer

Money raised throughout the campaign will support several MD Anderson programs and initiatives, including:

• The center’s expansion to Austin, with plans to break ground on a new facility at the site of the former Frank Erwin Center in 2026
• Cancer Neuroscience Program
• Institute for Cell Therapy Discovery & Innovation
• Institute for Data Science in Oncology
• James P. Allison Institute
• Kinder Children’s Cancer Center
• Meyers Institute for Oncology Nursing
• A master facilities plan including planned building expansions
• A new patient navigation program

Cazalot Jr. said in a statement. “MD Anderson has an unparalleled track record of life-saving discoveries and therapies, a world-class team and a compelling, unmatched set of signature priorities with the potential to transform cancer detection, treatment and clinical care.”
