After fine-tuning a performance evaluation tool over the past month, the Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 board of commissioners plans to present the results during the July 30 regular board meeting, as previously reported by Community Impact.
Harris County ESD 9 serves as a political subdivision and taxing entity that supports fire suppression and emergency medical service operations for the Cy-Fair Fire Department.
The overview
During the July 14 workshop, Commissioner Cameron Dickey said the board worked with Chief Amy Ramon to streamline vocabulary throughout the evaluation template to provide consistency with her language and establish high-quality performance metrics, per previous Community Impact reporting.
Ramon was tasked with completing the self-evaluation by midnight July 20, so the commissioners could review and compile their evaluation results for the July 29 workshop. Dickey said they will finalize the future goals for the next review period and discuss the fire chief’s compensation in light of the results.
Also on the agenda
The board of commissioners will discuss the Nov. 3 election, with Commissioners Rob Paiva, Naressa Mackinnon and Cameron Dickey approaching the end of their terms, as previously reported by Community Impact.
The commissioners will also receive the district's financial report and review the purchase of a fire hose for $71,533 from Siddons-Martin.
