The Texas Renaissance Festival is returning this fall with eight-themed weekends filled with new entertainment.
The festival was established in 1974 and attracts over half a million visitors annually to its 55-acre, 16th-century European village.
- Dates: Oct. 7-Nov. 26
- Time: 9 a.m.-8 p.m. (Sat.-Sun., plus Nov. 24)
- Cost: $10-$34, $5 ticket insurance. Children age 12 and younger receive free admission on Sundays and half-price admission on Saturdays. Tickets are date specific.
- Parking: General parking is free, $40 valet parking (available until 4 p.m. or when capacity is reached), $25 preferred parking (available until 4 p.m.)

Visitors can expect entertainment from over 50 performers, such as clowns, jugglers, acrobats and magicians.
This year there are two new entertainment performers, including Wolgemut, a high-energy early music troupe, and Opal the Fairy, a mystical fairy that spreads energy to children of all ages, according to the website.
