Community Impact Printing, a leader in high-quality, tailored print-and-mail solutions, has entered into a new agreement with The Business Journals.

Starting May 28, Community Impact Printing began printing and distributing approximately 25,000 weekly editions of The Business Journals across the state's four markets: Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.
A shared vision, elevated print

The new relationship between Community Impact Printing and The Business Journals was formed through a shared commitment to quality and a mutual understanding of what today’s readers and advertisers expect from print media.

Both organizations produce tabloid-style publications that rely heavily on high-impact visuals, intricate graphics and clean design. The Business Journals identified an opportunity to elevate their print products by partnering with Community Impact Printing, which offers advanced capabilities such as stitch and trim, and features that enhance the overall reader experience.

These shared experiences fostered an immediate rapport and understanding of the publishing industry's demands.

“If you look at Community Impact News and The Business Journals, we’re similar in some key areas. We are both media organizations serving local populations on specific topics.” Vice President of Printing David Ludwick said. “On the print side, we have higher quality print compared to the average newspaper. The Business Journal has pretty intricate infographics and images, and this is something we can deliver for them on a daily basis. We’re also both mailed in addition to being online. So overall, it’s a natural fit.”

History of Community Impact Printing

Community Impact News was founded in 2005, and its sister company Community Impact Printing established its own state-of-the-art printing facility in 2016. This strategic move was driven by the company's significant growth into over 30 markets across Texas and the need for greater production capacity and control.

Originally focused solely on newspaper production, the company has since expanded to offer a diverse range of print products, including:
  • Flyers and brochures
  • Booklets, tabloids and publications
  • Stickers and labels
  • Doorhangers
  • Direct mail
“These are our most common products, but Community Impact Printing was built because Community Impact News had a need,” Ludwick said. “Every time the news side of our business has come to us with a new product idea or service, we've been able to get creative and find a way to get it done. This is something that we are now able to offer to all of our customers.”

Impact that continues growing

The partnership with The Business Journals represents a meaningful step forward in Community Impact Printing’s ongoing growth with outside customers. Today, the company serves a diverse portfolio across industries and cities, ranging from municipalities and school districts to businesses and nonprofits.
