Here are six ongoing and upcoming transportation project to be aware of in the Conroe and Montgomery areas.
1. Loop 336 and South Conroe Medical Drive traffic signals
A project to install traffic signals with mast arms is underway at the corner of Loop 336 at South Conroe Medical Drive. Although Third Coast General Contractors began construction in November 2018 and the project is 80% complete with the signal installed, it is on hold until power can be provided by Entergy, expected in May. 2. Camelot Street extension
The city of Conroe is working on a project with Triple B Services construction company to extend Camelot Street with 2,600 feet of pavement and water lines with the additional construction of storm sewers. Timeline: May-August Cost: $1.32 million Funding source: city of Conroe
3. Brass Nail Road extension
A project to extend Brass Nail Road and Grace Crossing is in the works. Montgomery-based contractor Randy Roan Construction is adding 3,300 feet of pavement and storm sewers with 60 feet of drainage ditches. Timeline: May 22-Sept. 19 Cost: $1.34 million Funding source: city of Conroe
