There are several events taking place in the Conroe and Montgomery area from Sept. 25-Oct. 18, including several fall festivals. This is not a comprehensive list.
Mommy & Me Painting with Rapunzel
Special guest Rapunzel will be at The Learning Zoo to paint with participating children. The event will also feature a petting zoo, tortoise grazing gardens and a reptile house.
The city of Montgomery Police Department is holding its second annual Faith & Blue event featuring local first responders, food and drinks, activities and prize drawings.

The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce is holding its 38th annual Lobsterfest for community leaders, business owners, elected officials, residents and guests to attend. The two-day festivities include a steak and lobster dinner, live and silent auctions and a golf tournament.

The Library Friends of Conroe’s 30th annual book sale will feature fiction, nonfiction books, children’s and young adult books as well as collectible books. Books will be priced at $1 for hardbacks, $.50 for paperbacks and $.25 for children’s and young adult books.
The family arts and crafts fair will feature handmade art, food, crafts and holiday gifts at Christ Church. The event will also include door prizes and kids’ activities.
The ALS Association is holding a walk to celebrate those who are fighting ALS and to honor those who have passed from the nervous system disease. The event will also include games, contests and activities for children.

The Grand Central Park sip and shop event will feature over 100 vendors with jewelry, boutique art, gourmet food, furniture and decorations. The event will also include a DJ, food trucks and wine and beer.
The 17th Annual Duck Race benefiting the Community Assistance Center will include 10,000 rubber ducks tossed into the lazy river to race their way to the finish line. Proceeds will benefit programs and supportive services for neighbors in need of basic life necessities.

Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival
The 35th annual Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival will feature food vendors with items from crawfish pie to turkey legs and corn dogs. The festival will also include over 60 exhibitors to shop from, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a kids’ zone, carnival rides and live music.
Downtown Montgomery will be filled with modern and traditional quilts displayed throughout the city as well as at the Old Methodist Church. In addition to the quilts, there will be vendors, a quilt raffle and demonstrations.
