There are several events taking place in the Conroe and Montgomery area this holiday season, including lighting ceremonies and Christmas markets.This is not a comprehensive list.
Conroe Tree Lighting Ceremony
The city of Conroe’s parks and recreation department is presenting a Christmas tree lighting with the mayor in Downtown Conroe.
Start Christmas shopping while supporting local businesses at the Montgomery County Mistletoe Market. The shopping event will feature over 230 vendors with women’s and children’s clothing, home, holiday and garden decor as well as food, handmade jewelry and fashion trucks.
Dec. 7, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
$5 (cash entry), Free (Children under 15, teachers, military and first responders)
Cedar Brake Park will be transformed with dazzling lights, decorations and twinkling light poles while also featuring a Santa photo booth and letters to Santa station.

The second annual Christmas market will feature vendors, veteran-owned businesses and small local businesses. The market will also include a raffle, bounce house, face painting and activities for the kids.
The Holly Jolly Jubilee will feature vendors, food from B-52's Stone Fired Kitchen, a baby goods drive, drawings and Christmas activities and will support the Loving Choice Pregnancy Center.
Run either a 10-mile, 5-mile or 5K race in this event presented by Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Runners will start and finish at Lone Star College—Conroe Campus.
At the Christmas celebration presented by the city of Conroe parks and recreation department, attendees can enjoy stage performances, booths, vendor booths and inflatables.
