H-E-B is set to open its doors in Montgomery during the fourth quarter of 2026, Mayor Sara Countryman said in a April 1 interview with Community Impact.
What we know
Countryman said the company is working on its engineering planning, and will begin moving dirt and leveling the land this August. The property will hold a detention pond with plans to add a special Texan feel, Countryman said.
“I'm so impressed with [H-E-B]. They're actually sending people into town, to shop at our shops, talk to the locals, to get a feel of how our town operates, and then they're going to take that feedback, and apply it to their store,” Countryman said. “That’s from the aesthetics, from the feel and how they expect their employees to respond to us.”
