Montgomery City Council met Tuesday in the Montgomery Community Center for the regularly scheduled meeting to take action on numerous agenda items, including approving a mayor pro tem and zoning changes within the city’s boundaries. City officials also delivered departmental reports to council members. All council members were present at the meeting with the exception of Place 1 Council Member Jon Bickford. Tuesday was also the first council meeting run by new Mayor Sara Countryman, who took her oath of office May 15 during a special meeting at City Hall.
